1. What exactly does a Professional Organiser do?

We’re not counsellors, designers or architects but our role has elements of these professions. You could say we are content, information and time managers. We’re also part personal assistant to guide with project or task management and maintenance. We motivate, inspire and support. We genuinely look to support your goals and choices. We’re like a personal trainer for your stuff!

We are skilled in offering solutions to organise and declutter your home or office. We’ll help you ‘spring clean’ your space; determine what’s valuable and useful, what’s junk and outmoded. We wrangle your belongings while offering creative storage solutions. We’ll help you achieve great results.

2. So do you actually do the hands on work required?

Absolutely. We are very hands on – that’s the only way to guarantee immediate results. But we also believe in personal responsibility and may set you ‘homework’ to do … and we’ll chase you up on it! ^ TOP


3. Do you only organise homes or do you do offices as well?

We organise homes, offices, sheds, boats, storage spaces, cubbys ... you name it - we'll order it.


4. What skills does a Professional Organiser have?

Buckets of compassion, discretion, creative and lateral thinking, and of course, finely tuned organisation skills and highly developed spatial abilities. 5. But I don’t want to throw anything out! Can you help me?

We won’t make you throw anything out, nor will we throw anything out without your permission. It's not always about throwing things out! We love to work with what you’ve got and be thrifty with solutions. We’re into recycling, reusing, clarification and simplicity. We respect what’s important to you and help you honour special treasures.

We help you through a process that can often be overwhelming and very confronting. We’ll share ideas that will save you time, money and your sanity! We make product recommendations and provide referrals for services that will augment your home and your life. If you really don't want to lose the excess, we can assist in managing what you want to keep.

Material clutter can become emotional clutter and impede living life to the fullest. Imagine the freedom of focus / clarity / restoration of order. ^ TOP


6. What about things that are, um, personal to me?

Discretion is assured, but for peace of mind, we also offer you a written confidentiality agreement. (We've seen it all, don’t worry!) ^ TOP


7. What results can I expect?

8. Do you use Feng Shui?

Yes and no. Feng Shui embodies practicality and common sense. Sensible, simple and streamlined works! We certainly value these concepts. Creating a visually enticing, workable space (and systems) that honour and reflect you is what it's really all about. ^ TOP


9. Do you give quotes?

We don’t quote. How long is a piece of string? It depends on many factors: how long you're been in your space and how large or small it is, how much 'stuff' you have, your ability to work with us, your motivation to change and to what degree your want to be organised. Everyone's different.

Experience tells us that three hours is a great starting point and during that time, further work can be scoped. Six hours sees considerable change. ^ TOP

12. I’d quite like that woman, the one from the telly, to organise my home. Can she come and help me out?

As you can imagine, Lissanne sometimes has a hectic schedule. She gives presentations to groups about organising, runs SORTED! and likes to shake her snow domes occasionally too. You may get her as your organiser (subject to availability), but you may also get one of the other fabulous sorters… who have all been hand-picked and trained by Lissanne so she knows you’ll be looked after. ^ TOP


13. I'm not sure that you travel to my city/town or have a local sorter, but really need my place organised. Can you help?

We service Melbourne weekly and Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide in a regular basis. Please see bookings for details. ^ TOP
