Your Life on the Lawn
Presenter and Organiser Extraordinaire Lissanne Oliver featured in "Your Life one the Lawn".
Created in 2002, Your Life on the Lawn, screened nationally on Channel 7. Produced by Grundy Television (Neighbours, Australian Idol, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Wheel of Fortune) YLOTL is all about getting organised and moving clutter. Each week, a Melbourne home owner had two rooms made over by a hard working team that was led by Lissanne Oliver from SORTED! and second hand dealer Simon Fenner, with Pascall Fox hosting. The entire contents of two junked up rooms were moved onto the lawn where the owner was confronted by exactly HOW MUCH stuff they owned! Then began challenging process of sorting through everything and making tough decisions about what should stay and what should go.
You won't believe the transformation in these spaces.... offices, bedrooms, living areas, dining rooms, shared spaces and even a shed were transported from chaos - to functioning, beautiful spaces - completely free of crap! But it wasn't just about the physical world... some great memories and stories were also unearthed along the way..
Our favourite review...
"On Sunday, Seven launch the surprisingly watchable infotainment show Your Life on the Lawn. Based on a popular UK concept, this cross between a home renovation show and Antiques Roadshow clears clutter from people's houses, discovering hidden treasures and opening up spaces ripe for gaudy paint jobs. While host Pascall Fox needs to tone it down a level or two before someone slaps her and second-hand expert Simon Fenner could do with a whacky-and-loud-ectomy, professional 'organiser' Lissanne Oliver is a welcome addition to this TV genre. Cool, calm and collected - as if stepping straight from The Secret Life of Us, - she's the kind of person who'd fold the clothes at an orgy. Oliver's a good find and her orderly skills will be the envy of slobby couch potatoes around the nation."
